I'd like to request that the Infirmary have a handful of isolation rooms. For multiple reasons, actually.
First, in the event of a contagious disease, it could be useful to limit contamination.
Second, let's be perfectly honest, at the moment, if an inmate is unstable, Zero is the only option. And if said inmate has not committed an infraction, Zero is a poor option. There should be an area where inmates and wardens both can submit themselves for observation and be kept away from the general population while staying very close to medical treatment.
Third, in the event of inmates who should be in Zero but who need close medical monitoring, isolation rooms provide a zone that allows much more immediate treatment and response.
Fourth, in the event of comas, some would undoubtedly prefer to be near response but be more difficult to access than a curtained-off area of the Infirmary would allow.
The features involved should include in-room bathrooms - I would prefer a sonic shower, if only for cleaning messes, but you seem to think that's not something a prisoner should have, so I leave it in your hands. The door should lock, and should have variable settings, such that it can be made to lock from the inside or from the outside - though it should always open to wardens with medical access. The rooms should be capable of Level 10 containment, of all pathogens, and also should lack any sharp corners that can be used for self-harm. Bed, of course, as well, and space for monitoring equipment, if not monitoring equipment already installed.
- And while we're at it, can the Infirmary have its own sonic shower? That is, if you'd rather not put them in isolation rooms. Anyone who's ever worked in one knows how various bodily fluids, drugs and such can get all over everything.
[ If the Infirmary does have isolation rooms, pretend he's just asking for the features involved. ]
