How feasible would it be to get an apparatus to allow Ulla to get around without having her cut herself open any time she wants to leave her room?

I'll be honest, I'm thinking something like a hover fishbowl with steering but I'm open to ideas. It's just that there's a concern about her being mid-transformation when someone presses that new button you provided us with. Which could kill her. So I'm looking for what options are available.
