Hello! The 30 day canon rule is an attempt to get around both the popularity spike that comes with most new canons, and also to avoid spoilers for those that haven't yet seen something but might want to. It would, unfortunately, apply to newly introduced characters/pieces of their canon if they are newly relevant.
