Character Name: Julian Bashir Work Area: Infirmary - Direct Care Job Position: Supervisor
Supervisor Style: Julian loves his work, and some people - some silly people who worry too much, clearly - say he's a little obsessed and needs to take more breaks. But who needs breaks when there's MEDICINE to do??
He spends most of his time in the infirmary. When there are no patients to attend to, he performs research, teaches advanced medical techniques to whoever wants to learn them, organizing and consolidating access to the Barge's medical records, whatever else he's needed for. He's very willing to make house calls, if anyone can't or won't come to the infirmary but needs medical attention, and he actually has a secondary infirmary in his cabin where he can also see patients or conduct/share research - it's from Deep Space Nine, so it has some advanced instruments and things, too! He'll give the other infirmary supervisors permission to go into his cabin to use it, and others on a case by case basis.
He's comfortable giving the inmate workers tasks, basically treating them like nurses, and comfortable giving orders if need be - he is a military officer, after all. He's always ready to teach them things they don't know, help them find things to do or projects to work on, etc. That said, he's no micromanager; he trusts the team to know what they're doing, and to ask questions if they don't. He does want people to show up for their shifts when they can, but discipline isn't his style. He'll track them down and see what's up, and try to help if he can.
He's very careful with his supervisor key and will not be pleased at any efforts to steal it. Even then, he's much more likely to try to get to the bottom of why it happened rather than punish anyone.
