In your app you mentioned that Lawrence has only even made one actual choice in his life (shooting William), and that he wanted to be a good man but was prevented by circumstances. Given this, could you talk more about the justification for bringing him in as an inmate, given that he cannot be held accountable (and would not need to be redeemed from) actions that were made before he had free will? What do you see as the context for and implications of his choice to shoot William, and what do you think this means for who he chooses to be going forward?

Lawrence undoubtedly has trauma to recover from and will need to find a healthy path forward, but at this canonpoint what past of unethical choices has he made to be redeemed from?
