Post your requests to the Admiral below (and also a note if you would specifically like that request to be rejected), and we will get to them in a timely manner. All Admiral requests (with the exception of Inmate resurrections) must go through this post, and their approval cannot be handwaved. Additionally, requests will only be granted to Wardens.

Unless otherwise specifically noted, all threads on this post are considered to be Private.

Though the Barge does not speak in any traditional way and is not reachable by communicator, it is sentient, and characters occasionally reach out to it via tapping on walls in Morse Code, spelling out messages in alphabet-letter fridge magnets, and other creative methods; if your character decides to try this, those messages may be dropped here as well!

I do rather think you might have a more enjoyable and productive voyage if you found a colleague or two whom you were more comfortable relying on than myself, among other things. But if you insist.

[There's a small weight in Hilbert's pocket - it's shaped like an old-fashioned wristwatch, sterling silver and quartz, with a brown leather band, but the face has a compass rose, and just the one needle. Instead of N, E, S, W, the letters around the edge read A, H, D, V.]

That is where you are wrong: I try not to rely on you for anything. Again, I do not like you and find entire Barge set-up to be more harmful than helpful most days.

But I still appreciate wristwatch. Will certainly put it to good use.

My point stands. You can dislike and criticize job but still go to work for benefits. And the benefits I intent to ask for are very thorough.

...if I may be permitted to offer one very small piece of advice. Go sit under the tree for a time. The one in the eighth floor common room. It is...the living product of very profound restorative forces.

[ Though he's going to be reading a book while he sits under the tree for half an hour or so because he just accepted the idea of 'you need therapy,' there's no way in hell Alexander Hilbert will meditate or focus on his own thoughts or anything like that under said tree. ]

[It doesn't do anything immediately noticeable. It doesn't alter him at all. The fractal tree, and all its strange power, are almost entirely self-contained. But lingering in proximity grants a little bolstering of Hilbert's own natural resiliency, a sense as though he'd had a little more time to recover than he's actually had. The tree is perfect, a replete stranger from a world without entropy, and very close to it there is a faint pull toward that other world, toward things being what they ought to be, towards following their own true patterns.]
