TLV - Admiral Requests

ADMIRAL REQUESTS

New Admiral Request Page Found Here

Post your requests to the Admiral below (and also a note if you would specifically like that request to be rejected), and we will get to them in a timely manner. All Admiral requests (with the exception of Inmate resurrections) must go through this post, and their approval cannot be handwaved. Additionally, requests will only be granted to Wardens.

Unless otherwise specifically noted, all threads on this post are considered to be Private.

Though the Barge does not speak in any traditional way and is not reachable by communicator, it is sentient, and characters occasionally reach out to it via tapping on walls in Morse Code, spelling out messages in alphabet-letter fridge magnets, and other creative methods; if your character decides to try this, those messages may be dropped here as well!

Wait. Why not? On the first one, obviously, not Dr. Cox. There is an inmate in particular who could use non-emergency surgery.

[ He's speaking of Mira. The invasive technology in her system, and her missing fallopian tubes. ]

Don't be transparently manipulative. First, I'm not a sorcerer, second, I will do better on the facilities with which I have been trained, and third, Mira presents a unique challenge, and I am absolutely not surgically pursuing the machinery integrated with her biology using a scalpel.

Finally, if you're going to be manipulative without any subtlety whatsoever, I have to ask: why do you insist on using facilities closely matched to the 21st century? Is it inflexible thinking? Disregard for the safety of your passengers? Do you like bringing them back to life when they inevitably die from assaults and injuries?

No.

Mira deserves this. Not only that, but it would make a significant step in her ability to feel and express her own emotions. It will further free her from the yoke of control that has been her burden as long as she can remember.

However, these may be a dangerous procedures. There may be an element of trial and error in what should be removed and what should be done. You don't have the patience for that, clearly, and you'd rather we not depend on you when it comes to inmates, so it can't be done through requests to you. So how should I proceed?

This is not an idle request, Admiral.

[ There's no hesitation. ] The surgical arch.
