TLV - Admiral Requests

ADMIRAL REQUESTS

New Admiral Request Page Found Here

Post your requests to the Admiral below (and also a note if you would specifically like that request to be rejected), and we will get to them in a timely manner. All Admiral requests (with the exception of Inmate resurrections) must go through this post, and their approval cannot be handwaved. Additionally, requests will only be granted to Wardens.

Unless otherwise specifically noted, all threads on this post are considered to be Private.

Though the Barge does not speak in any traditional way and is not reachable by communicator, it is sentient, and characters occasionally reach out to it via tapping on walls in Morse Code, spelling out messages in alphabet-letter fridge magnets, and other creative methods; if your character decides to try this, those messages may be dropped here as well!

On behalf of maintenance, sir, I'd like to request that you install a starship grade inert gas fire suppression system in all public areas of the ship, as well as a secondary backup. Monitoring and control systems to be installed in maintenance. [Attached is a detailed spec sheet for the kind of system they'd like.]

If you are unwilling or unable to provide it installed, could we please have the following supplies: [Included is an exhaustively detailed list of everything he and Hope have determined they'd need to perform the upgrades themselves, plus spare parts for repairs.]

[Have a very precise, proper, and formal presentation of the perceived benefits, Admiral. Complete with standing at attention while speaking.] The whole point of it is to make the barge more safe, sir. A properly installed and maintained inert gas system should produce only minimal risk to inhabitants, though there are synthetic gas options as well which do not rely on oxygen depletion and are thus safer. Both of those options limit or eliminate environmental damage as well. We would install the control and monitoring system behind a warden locked door in maintenance, and construct the system with durasteel piping runs to eliminate the risk of tampering or destruction.

Respectfully, sir, it was one of your wardens who caused the fire damage and the death of one of your inmates to begin with.

[And clearly he and Hope are just going to have to improvise something.]
