TLV - Admiral Requests

ADMIRAL REQUESTS

New Admiral Request Page Found Here

Post your requests to the Admiral below (and also a note if you would specifically like that request to be rejected), and we will get to them in a timely manner. All Admiral requests (with the exception of Inmate resurrections) must go through this post, and their approval cannot be handwaved. Additionally, requests will only be granted to Wardens.

Unless otherwise specifically noted, all threads on this post are considered to be Private.

Though the Barge does not speak in any traditional way and is not reachable by communicator, it is sentient, and characters occasionally reach out to it via tapping on walls in Morse Code, spelling out messages in alphabet-letter fridge magnets, and other creative methods; if your character decides to try this, those messages may be dropped here as well!

So, uh. Admiral. It's come to my attention that my Inmate's feeling pretty unheard lately! Something about how he "doesn't count" 'cause he's not a warden anymore. Which, if you ask me - a Warden - that ain't really gonna help the guy wanna graduate any faster.

Anyway, with that in mind I'm gonna be echoing everything he says in here from now on so it's got an official Warden Stamp of Approval from yours truly.

[And with that, Stan literally repeats Rhys word for word. He doesn't try to perfectly mimic his voice, and he audibly hesitates on words like "dude", but a point needs to be made here.]

Since you like crashing the boat into shitty murder planets anyway, how about you occasionally steer us to the places that people are actually going to have to go back too? Or that they might want to go back too, but won't be able to because your standards for rehabilitation only work in a place where they can't die.

Just saying, dude, not everyone's going to have five other princes and princesses and whatever on hand to plot out how they're going to politically arrange the powers of their world, like Hux did. Most of us would just be going home to die if we could make it home at all.

So, bring it into the program. Take a couple of stops in ports that people have to go home too, give them a chance to see if it is possible to survive back home after graduation, or if they have no choice but to be looking for somewhere else.

Where the hell was that other one... Oh, right, there it is.

[He clears his throat and continues:]

Time doesn't freeze until your situation is in readiness. You demoted me for killing Betelgeuse, but I'm six months Betelgeuse murder sober, so there's obviously some other reason that I don't know about, and without a file I'm just stabbing away in the dark, but the thing I'm stabbing is my whole personality. And that's me talking about myself, but-- on a wider level? Whether you think it's worth it or not, this place is a shitty carousel of indignity and helplessness. People have a right to at least know why they're here.

You get to withhold-- security, privileges, power restoration, and a dozen other things for when someone has a warden. I get not making inmates wake up here with a file of all their crimes sitting on their desk, but for me to be asking you for a way to try and take control of myself, and you denying that because you think letting me screw myself up now will make your program work better later? I don't buy it. It's not justified.

You should change the rule.
