TLV - Admiral Requests
Post your requests to the Admiral below (and also a note if you would specifically like that request to be rejected), and we will get to them in a timely manner. All Admiral requests (with the exception of Inmate resurrections) must go through this post, and their approval cannot be handwaved. Additionally, requests will only be granted to Wardens.
Unless otherwise specifically noted, all threads on this post are considered to be Private.
Though the Barge does not speak in any traditional way and is not reachable by communicator, it is sentient, and characters occasionally reach out to it via tapping on walls in Morse Code, spelling out messages in alphabet-letter fridge magnets, and other creative methods; if your character decides to try this, those messages may be dropped here as well!

[ Leia sounds smooth and comfortable, not quite professional, exactly, but certainly confident in making this request. ]
I have some questions that I hope you'll be willing to answer, since you were gracious enough to answer Connor's. I have also prepared a batch of cookies-- which I made myself, [ she adds wryly,] --as I understand you have a fondness for them. If you let me know where to leave them, I'd be happy to.
I appreciate any clarifications you're willing to provide. In particular, question five is pertinent to the willingness of an Inmate I know to work toward graduation; your assurances as to the nature of our work would be welcome.
[ And attached is this document: ]
1. Can we change our own futures after we return to our homes, or do we create another timeline?
2. Are people from separate times who know each other actually from separate dimensions?
3. If Wardens ask for contradictory deals, does it create separate dimensions?
4. What effects do we have on the worlds that we encounter through breaches and ports?
5. What is the overall purpose of this Barge? What do you get out of it?
6. Where do you get the power to grant deals, and are there any kinds of deals you would not be able to grant?
7. What methods of censure are open to us for Wardens who abuse their powers, other than demotion for killing an Inmate?

Now, about your questions.
1. You can always change your futures, Princess Organa. This is one of the great benefits of being alive.
2. Think of people from different places in your three spatial dimensions. Latitude is different from altitude, but are they separate? Where is the boundary between them?
3. Consider a train, diverted onto a new track with all souls aboard. Does diverting the train create a new path? If you dig a canal and change the course of a river, what happens to the water already downstream? There are deep structures and resonances in the world. It is the nature of an axle - an axis - to be both fixed and turning. I am not trying to be obscure, but you don't even understand your own question. What you perceive as contradiction isn't, but it also can't be simplified in a way you can see.
4. It's right there in the names. Breaches flow into us. We step into ports.
5. Opportunity.
6. Some of them require rather more work than others. If you'd like to change your current deal, I'd be happy to vet any new request.
7. Get creative.

[ The only kind of bribe Leia would ever offer is a silly, pointless one meant more as a gesture of goodwill, anyway, so she has no problem instead leaving out the cookies for everyone else. As for the questions... ]
Alright, I think I know enough to know that I'm never going to fully understand this. [ She doesn't sound frustrated or dissuaded, however; Leia sounds thoughtful. ] Thank you for the answers. I have two follow up questions.
What do you mean by opportunity? And when you say 'get creative' -- does that include asking for your assistance if necessary? [ Is he willing to entertain proposals to, say, remove a Warden's abilities for a period of time, similar to an Inmate's? ]

[ So she's figuring out her options in advance. ]
If you don't want to be involved, I'd like to know now.

But until then, I'd encourage you to give your fellow wardens a bit more credit.

She nods sharply. ] Understood. I assumed you knew when you plucked me from embarking on a campaign to root out Imperial corruption that I'd bring that attitude here, [ she says with good-natured, self-aware sarcasm, ] but I'm not looking for enemies.
Thank you again. I appreciate it.

[And even though she just baked a batch, she gets a cookie for herself.]

The bribery goes both ways, I see. I'll be in touch if something comes up. [ That she thinks merits his attention, of course, not just anything -- but it seems perfectly natural to Leia to work within the structure and officials she's given rather than around them. ]
