Post your requests to the Admiral below (and also a note if you would specifically like that request to be rejected), and we will get to them in a timely manner. All Admiral requests (with the exception of Inmate resurrections) must go through this post, and their approval cannot be handwaved. Additionally, requests will only be granted to Wardens.

Unless otherwise specifically noted, all threads on this post are considered to be Private.

Though the Barge does not speak in any traditional way and is not reachable by communicator, it is sentient, and characters occasionally reach out to it via tapping on walls in Morse Code, spelling out messages in alphabet-letter fridge magnets, and other creative methods; if your character decides to try this, those messages may be dropped here as well!

Thank you, Admiral-san.

He's had his memory altered and his mind attacked, both in his home world and here. He needs to learn his own strength, but I won't ask him to do that when it comes to something that has deeply hurt him, at least not to start.

Do you have a device or a technique he could learn to be able to combat such attacks? Even if it wouldn't be proof against everything, to give him the chance to defend himself or fight back would be good.

If you'd like him to gain new powers of his own, that's the sort of thing that takes a Deal, petal. A device...hmm. The difficulty is that mental invasion can come in many forms, according to the thaumatics of many wildly different universes. An aluminum-lined cap from Scadriel repels the local mental abilities, but would do little against an Athosian's telepathy.

[He half sounds as though he's only talking to himself, chewing over the problem, but still trying to find a good solution.]

If he's been attacked here, have you spoken his attacker's warden about it?

I have. He assured me, it would be dealt with. And I don't think that he's in danger of being threatened that way for the time being.

[ He breathes out slowly. ]

His fear is a large part of his problem. And I want to help him see beyond it, to hear his own heart's voice. But the attack has brought that fear to the forefront.

I'm seeking other solutions, but I thought to ask you as well.

[He sounds slightly distractible. This is actually quite an interesting problem!]

[A few days later, Kiryu awakes to find a suggestively decorated ring next to his communicator. When he touches it or looks at it for long enough, the Admiral pipes up.]

Do tell him not to lose it.

[Like a regular Ring of Mind Shielding, wearing it will render Norton's thoughts impervious to any mind reading, and no other telepathic effects will work unless he allows it. Magic will also be unable to detect if he is lying. Unlike a regular Ring of Mind Shielding, it does not have the function that allows the wearer to turn it invisible.]

[ He gives a brief bow to the communicator before he signs off.

And after about a minute, signs back in again.]
